They send him on the most impossible of journeys where he must battle mythical creatures and monsters of legends, and perform the most difficult tasks before he is reunited with his mortal wife and beloved family. It is then that Hercules chooses mortality and life on earth over immortality as offered by the gods, having gained wisdom, companionship, and their respect through his heroic adventures. |
